Longest Tennis Matches

At the 2010 Wimbledon Championships, first round, John Isner (left) defeated Nicolas Mahut (right) 6-4, 3-6, 6-7(7), 7-6(3), 70-68 in the world's longest tennis match. The match lasted 11 hours, 5 minutes.
One day after winning the longest tennis match in history, John Isner lost the shortest men's match in 1hr 14 min to unseeded Dutchman Thiemo de Bakker 6-0,6-3,6-2.

Woman's Tennis - A 1984 match saw Vicki Nelson taking 6hr 31 min to beat Jean Hepner 6-4,7-6(13-11). The clash saw a 29 minute, 643 short rally - by far the longest in professional tennis history (The Straits Times, June 26, 2010)
