For Recovery Position at the BASELINE, a CROSS-COURT RETURN at the BASELINE (rather than down the line) will allow for a shorter recovery.
Similary for an Approach Shot, when the player is AT THE NET, RETURN DOWN THE LINE makes for a shorter recovery.
